Ground Meat (Keema)

Ground meat is super versatile and quick to prepare. By using a jar of Spicemode you are adding dozens of spices, caramelized aromatics and a hint of sweet and sour to the dish! The addition of tomatoes gives the dish a nice hearty body and coconut milk adds the final layer of richness. Wonderful mixed with rice or enjoyed with naan. You can also use this for a topping for nachos, tacos, fried rice or even a sloppy joe.
INGREDIENTS
Vindaloo Sauce
1 lb Ground Meat (Pork, Bison, Beef)
1/2 Coconut Milk
1 Cup Crushed Tomatoes
Cilantro
Scallions
DIRECTIONS
- Add a splash of coconut oil + ground meat to a pot over medium high heat.
- Season lightly with salt + pepper and begin to brown, breaking up larger chunks.
- Add the jar of Vindaloo Sauce and saute until fragrant, then add the coconut milk, tomatoes and simmer until the flavors combine.
- Finish with fresh chopped cilantro or scallions.
